Spectr-Semi

Spectr-Semi, founded in March 2020 by four classmates from Tsinghua University's Department of Electronic Engineering (Class of 1998), is a Tsinghua-affiliated specialty power semiconductor company focused on the design, manufacturing, and application of third-generation semiconductor specialty chips and power systems for extreme environments. Starting with ultra-high-temperature semiconductor systems above 250°C, its products cover SiC specialty SBDs/MOSFETs, GaN devices, and specialty power modules and systems for energy exploration, commercial aerospace, servers, electric vehicles, photovoltaic energy storage, and ultra-high-voltage grids, and it has launched a GaN device plus custom driver chip integration solution for humanoid robot joint drive units. Spectr-Semi's ultra-high-temperature specialty power supplies fill a domestic gap and supply China's three major oil groups, while its SiC specialty chips have entered mass production. In September 2026, the company completed a C-round financing of several hundred million yuan with 10 state-owned and industrial investors participating.
